just had 10 days in Levignac first time back since last August. The price of diesel has come down by 20p beer and wine the same but food seems to have shot up in price even taking into account the exchange rate. example a califlower 3 euros strawberrys 2.99 euros for 500g is it my imagination.

The French statistical office INSEE quotes annual food price inflation at 7.3% to March 2010 (latest confirmed figures) with most of that coming from fresh fruit.  Other than fresh produce, it says food prices have been stable over the last 12 months.  Where does INSEE shop??

Oh well, as you say, the exchange rate is a bit better
